Controlling a laser engraver

Machine control via webserver

Ansteuerung des Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro mit einem Raspberry Pi Model B+ und per Webbrowser
Figure 1:
In this chapter I show how to write the Python scripts that can control a laser engraver that runs a grbl based firmware. The laser engraver I use is the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro, which is connected to a Raspberry Pi via USB. The software should also run on any other PC with Linux as the operating system and be able to control other laser engravers as long as their firmware is based on "grbl".
This means that the machine can be controlled via a browser, shown here with a smartphone..

This chapter is under construction...

... but if you really want to take a look at the scripts with which I showed the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro in a video, here is the link to the:
Download package for the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro
Don't expect to find a "Setup.exe" you can doubleclick on (because I only use Linux) and there is also no "install.sh". It is Quick & Dirty written code that did what was needed for recording the video sequences, but really nothing more! The download package is only for the curious, everyone else should wait until I continue to write this chapter - be patient!

...and if you want to encourage me to build this chapter as quickly as possible, consider making a donation - many thanks!
